If you are interested making a donation to Childkind:
Contributions to Childkind support efforts to recruit and train new foster or adoptive families or to help biological parents become ready for their children after lengthy stays at a hospital or neonatal intensive care unit. It costs us approximately $5,000 to properly prepare a family for a medically complex child. In the long run, however, we save the healthcare and child welfare systems well over a $100,000 because of better in-home health care.
Other needs include:
- Backup generators for technology dependent children
- Wheel chairs and ramps
- Emergency medical supplies
- Mobility and safety adaptations and more!
Last year over 90% of our expenses went directly to program services. Childkind’s form 990 tax return for nonprofits are filed with Guidestar.
If you are interested in becoming a foster parent:
The remarkable families that open their hearts to Childkind’s children are motivated by personal passions to help the most vulnerable and to make the world a better place for them. Their capacity for love is abundant; their dedication to the children they foster.
